oka so i was looking at universal titles and noticed most of there title such as knocked up 40 year old virgin or meet the fockers ect. is all geared twords younger audience such as teenagers. and are movies that are realy usefull in hd like when is the last time you heard some way "im dying for that comedy in hd!" like seriously most poeple are like "im dying for the action adventrue in HD!"
especialy the hd market and in the optical wars the early adopters arnt teenagers or even 20-29 year olds its 30-45 olds. like when the last time u saw a teenager even buy a movie? i can see universal in the rite game for theaters but for media sales its useless lmao. and even as more and more dvd screeners and pirated that will suck? (i know universal has the bourne series and other old ones but im concentrating on newer ones) |

Is anyone really buzzing about Blades of Glory (both), Wild Hogs (BD), Superbad (BD), or Knocked Up (HD DVD) coming to HD? Look at Talledaga Nights. People felt it was a rather lame title for PS/3 launch. And made completely lame by them giving away Casino Royale for the European launch. But, at least TN has NASCAR action. Gary |

We assume we'll see more diversity after the War, as part of some Reconstructionist plan, now that Sony doesn't have to worry about dopey PS3'ers buying the things. (Remember, just because a Will Ferrell or Adam Sandler movie doesn't sell, is not meant to be an indictment of All Comedy.) ![]() |

Jorg, it looks to be their complete management, not just their HD strategy that is exceptionaly bad
![]() ![]() from 2004 until now they went from #3 and 15% to #6 and 9% LGF made the charts in 2004 for the first time at 4% and now they are at 7% The way they are both headed Universal will be in #7 place real soon. |

Amazon hates me, so they haven't even shipped mine yet. Although it might have something to do with cancelling my order on Saturday because I forgot I had a $5 credit thing to use. Wild Hogs will be the first comedy I have gotten on BD, so it is kind of a test to see if I really care. Plus I haven't seen it yet and quite a few people I work with said it was funny. BTW they didn't like Knocked Up, saying it was kind of offensive... Don't know about that one either. I typically don't go see comedies in the theater, but usually rent them.
