What finish do you guys like better between wenge and cherry. I really don't want black again and rosenut wont match my decor if you look in my gallery.

If it works with your decor, I would prefer the Cherry.

wenge looks very 70's ish to me, i expect to see some shag carpet and avacado appliances with it. the cherry looks very 90's to me, if i had to choose, it would be the cherry

I voted for the Wenge(Walnut) because I like the look of it better, but the Cherry looks as if it would match your setup better. I would like the Cherry better if it was more of a Dark Cherry, but to me that looks more Maple, which I am not a huge fan of.

I voted for Cherry based on your decor, and also because I thought it looked great in person. I looked at the Wenge, but when I took a door from my entertainment center in to match it up to the speakers, none of the wood finishes went well. So I went with the black. They still look fine but I would have preferred a wood finish. If you have a piece of your entertainment center that can come off easily you may consider taking it with you.

In fact, on their signature line they call it natural maple, go figure.

I am building a new one so the stain is any option. One thing I was thinking is do I really want the TV stand to match the speakers as it may look to mono but my two tables are a medium oak color so I'm not sure yet. I love the look of the rosenut but it's too modern looking as my wife has the country decor.

Rosenut is my favorite by far but out of these 2 I would choose the Cherry I guess.

I think I have to agree that the Rosenut looks very good. It's my favorite followed by cherry. Out of the two choices I would definitely go cherry though. I think whoever said above that the Wenge looks 70's-ish is right.

I do like the cherry as well but feel it's too light and may draw too much attention within the room as it may have the in your face finish

You already know how I feel (cherry), but based on your wants/needs, the wenge appears to be the right one to go with for you.

When I was deciding on a finish for my speakers, I asked the gf about which one looked best, and her answer was that darker speakers match with more things. Took her advice, and I'm not looking back. I'm assuming no $ difference between the two?

I'd definitely go with the cherry. Besides looking better with your furnishings (grills on/off) It gives more contrast with the drivers grills off (making them more menacing looking

)

Besides the other finish has the appearance of being weather beaten.. So if I owned an old scooner

I love the Rosenut finish, it's one of my favorite colors - but I picked cherry. Wenge is too brown for my tastes.

I wont be able to have the speakers naked so fully dressed is the only option with my wife. This is a shared room (family room) so I have to honer her opinion as well.

I will always vote for a more exotic wood than a staple. So it's wenge for me!!!!
