USA Resident Evil: Damnation - September 25, 2012

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Resid...Blu-ray/49991/

I didn't see any other threads about this, so I figured that I would make one.

I'm looking forward to this film. I saw Degeneration and I enjoyed it, but if I were to rank the Resident Evil series, I'd say the games > the live-action films > the CGI films (although Milla Jovovich is a total babe ).

I hope Walmart releases a SteelBook of this, as well. I don't see why they wouldn't, though. They released the other 5.

If any of you hear anything, please keep us updated!

Ya can't wait for this as well. I'm actually looking more forward to it than the real movie coming out in the theatres.

Another Resident Evil movie I have to add to my collection. And yes, I do hope Walmart release a steelbook to go along with my collection as well.

I thought so too, but now I think they were just referring to it being 3D CGI that was done to produce the movie. Believe me, I had my wallet open when I thought it was a Blu-ray 3D movie, but now I'm going to wait for reviews first.

And I thought I was the only one excited for this movie.

Okay, so apparently this movie is playing in 3D in at least SOME cinemas right now. At least that's the case if this movie schedule in New York is to be believed. This is enough proof of a likely future Blu-ray 3D version for me, so I'm going to cancel my pre-order and wait for that. Even if I have to import it or something, I'd rather wait and watch the movie as it was intended to be viewed in 3D.

Can someone who works at Walmart check if a SteelBook is coming out?

Just pre-ordered my copy from Best Buy, hoping it comes in a slipcover.

It was confirmed in the steelbook thread that Wal-Mart is not selling this as a steelbook.

One thing is certain after seeing the film, and that is that it's made with 3D in mind. Lots of scenes that scream for depth and a whole lot of poking at the screen with guns, knives etc. We'll probably see a 3D release somewhere down the line.

As a fan of the games, this was good, at least a bit better than Degeneration IMO, and infinitely better than the Paul WS Anderson films...

Damn it! Are there any steelbook versions in other regions that we know of?

I wouldn't be too surprised if it happens to pop up alongside Resident Evil: Retribution when it hits Futureshop. They'll probably do a steelbook for that(the Walmart exclusives were identical to earlier FS exclusives) so there's still some hope I'd bet.

Picked this up today on Blu-ray. Have not watched it yet but the case art is bad IMO. It's super blurry. It looks like a copy of a copy. I picked it up from Target. I mean the pic here is way better than than physical. Also it has inside art as well which is ALWAYS a nice touch... but still fuzzy/blurry. Maybe it's just my copy. IDK.
