I recently bought a 32" LCD but I hate the sound from it. I might get the Sony HTCT150 soundbar. It looks like it would be a good match with my Sony 32" LCD. I sit 5 ft away from the screen and don't want big speakers and just much better sound than what this TV has. Also I'm concerned about having HDMI ports located on the subwoofer. Are the HDMI ports still reliable if they are located on the subwoofer?

I just need something compact and with a remote since my new TV doesn't have variable volume output jacks. I was also considering the Sony 2.1 300watt computer speaker system. I noticed that according to the specs of the soundbar, the crossover is listed as 180hz for the soundbar's subwoofer and for the 2.1 Sony speaker system it's listed as 250hz for the subwoofer. Would I still be better off with the Sony CT150 soundbar. I don't care about upgradablity as I can always sell the soundbar and get a real system when the time is right.

Buy it! I was having the same issue with my 32" Toshiba LCD, I couldn't hear the damn thing. Once I hooked the Sony up to it, it changed my life. Once you adjust the subwoofer settings you will be amazed at the sound

I just got the HT-CT150 for use with my 46" Samsung LCD TV in our living room. While it's not anything like my Onkyo 7.1 system in another room, it is a tremendous improvement over the TV's speakers. I found it to be definitely worth the price and am happy with it - easy to set up and pretty unobtrusive.

Look into definitive technology's speakerbars. They need a receiver to power them but are relatively good (5.0...you can add up to 7.1...I have the ssa-50). Also try polk and yamaha soundbars if you are looking for an all in one source. I've heard some Sony speakerbars and they are ok at best compared to others.
