Canada From Dusk Till Dawn

I saw From Dusk Till Dawn at Best Buy today. For those of you who already have it, I would be interested in your comments and opinion on the picture and sound quality. Thanks.

It has lossless audio and the picture quality is decent. No extras of course. One of the better Canadian exclusives.

If you're not into extras it's good sound and video.

I could care less about extras of any form so I have no problems with this release.

Picture quality is an easy 4/5 if not 4.5/5 in my book...nitpickers may score it slightly lower but its definatly a solid transfer either way.

Sound is listed as a standard DTS but actually reads as a DTS-HDMA (an odd, but welcomed suprise). the audio quality is fairly good, but EXTREMELY dynamic...which is great if you live alone...not so great for others

However, beware there are no extras at all. just the movie. but its affordable and has a great picture, so whavtever

Fantastic video, audio seemed to be all over the place. I was turning up at some dialogue parts, only to turn it down when the action picked up...

I own From Dusk Till Dawn too and I really thought it was a great transfer!

The music is crisp, the dialogue clear... and Salma Hayek looks as good as she can.

Enjoy!

Echo others sentiments. You'll love the picture quality. The audio is weird. Dialouge bits needs to be turned way up, but when the action starts up, it will startle the shit out of you, so you're constantly turning the volume up and down. I'd be open to double dipping if a US version ever dropped. As it is though, it's definitely worth the money. Dont let the audio problems sway your decision, its not as bad as we're making it sound!

It's worth owning, I thought the PQ was pretty good and the audio was alright too but nothing special.

Sounds like a DNR issue with your player. Turn the feature off in order to make the audio work properly.

Real good transfer for Video and audio. Never had any issues with audio that others were posting about.

Thanks for the replies. The audio sounds a bit like what I experienced with Slumdog Millionaire, the dialogue at times was not loud enough but things like the roar of a jet were ear shattering. The price at Best Buy was $22.99 CAD. Ozz, how much was it at Walmart?
