Put together a head-fi setup for my vinyl with Grado GS1000i'sand a PS Audio GCHA headphone amp. Looking to upgrade my cartridge and phono stage to take better advantage of the new gear.
Cartridge I have narrowed down to a Benz Ace MC. Phono stages I've narrowed it down to these 2. Whest Two Or the PS Audio GCPH: Seem to be 2 very great phono stages, the bonus to the PS Audio is I can get it for half the price of the Whest on Audiogon. Is it worth twice the price to get the Whest or is the PS Audio at that price a better deal? I'm kind of leaning towards the PS as I have been very impressed with the GCHA and I could also bank the extra and grab some Nordost phono/interconnect cables with the money I save. The main thing is after an upgrade this size, I don't want to be itching to try something new. So what would you do, go for the Whest or get the PS and cables? |
