Default Mpeg4 AVC (H264) support, a little more details

Hi,

I am already using the mpeg4 avc codec (H264), through the free encoder "x264". I would like to encode my videos so that they are fully compatible with the Blu Ray format so that when players are available, all i have to do is to burn my videos on a BDR and than i can play them on my tv/hdtv when i get one.

But in order to do that i need some information i haven't been able to find in the FAQ or by searching in the forums : i need to know the official profiles and levels. I have read rumors about high profile & level 4.1 but not from an official site.

An other thing is the container :
The official mpeg4 avc container is mp4 but it also works in other containers like matroska so which will be the official mpeg4 avc container(s) for Blu Ray ? mp4 or something else ?

Thanks
