Alliance Titles 3/23/2010: Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat Annihilation

Not much coming in March, but came across these yesterday...

-Mortal Kombat (Alliance, 1.78:1, no subs, Mar. 23 '10)
-Mortal Kombat Annihilation (Alliance, 1.78:1, no subs, Mar. 23 '10)

Awesome! I only really liked Mortal Kombat, so I'd probably only pick that one up.

Sweet. And these are both 1.85:1, so no real way for Alliance to screw them up (well 1080i I guess, but that's not a dealbreaker the way wrong aspect ratio is).

LMFAO! Two of the worst movies ever that were so bad they actually ended up being entertaining in a roundabout way. I'd love to have MK2 for a cheap price...a VERY cheap rice. Shao Khan's intro is still one of the greatest ever.

I have wanted Mortal Kombat for a while now, huge guility pleasure flick of mine.... please be 1080P and I'd be happy

One quick thought, I think it would have been cool of Alliance to release this as a double packed like the Halloween set but whatever

oh hell yeah! I knew this would release this year being the 15th anniversary of the 1st movie. I hope they include the making of documentary from the animated movie.

I can acknowledge the second one is an absolutely HORRID movie, but I still have this weird soft spot for parts of it at least. I'll shell out the cash for both day one!

I've only had one Alliance blu and PQ was worse than the DVD. After some research, Alliance Canada has a scary reputation for some transfers so it's off my buy list for now even though Mortal Combat is one of my guilty pleasures.

Most of their releases have been pretty solid, but yes there are some duds. I recommend waiting on some reviews before passing judgment.

I don't think its possible for them to release a Blu of either movie and be worse than the DVD. Since the DVD's were such horrid quality. Think you are pretty safe.
