Elemental Designs vs HSU what to buy?

just sold my velodyne and have a budget of 750$ there about to spend (including taxes and duties) I'm basically looking at a 500$ sub.

HSU has their VTF2mk3 for 509$
ED has a number of them A5s-300 550$
A2-300 - 415$ (wait list seems to be forever)

and finally I was thinking MFW-15 but thank god I didn't pull the trigger...seems like the amps failing issue has not been fixed.

What do you guys suggest. I see ED is the popular choice on here and I was just wondering why? HSU lovers out there? SVS is too expensive.

btw my room is 18x10. I've had a Velodyne DPS12, then went to a Velodyne DLSR 5000 which was a 15".

Why the A2 over the A5s?

Any other options? HSUs sale ends pretty much tomorrow so if I don't pull the trigger by close of business tomorrow I'm out of luck.

Only other option is used and the only thing that has caught my eye is a Carver Sunfire True Subwoofer mkII used for 600$ but then again I've heard amps and humming issues. I hope this thread gets some hits. just want personal opinions. i'm in Canada so try at home doesn't work for me.
