Default Help choosing TV.

Hey guys, I made a thread a few months ago about a sharp elite 70" I found locally for $2500. Well I called the guy up 2 days ago and he found a buyer that day and was shipping it out, so I'm screwed with buying that TV.

I just moved into my first apartment (big boy now) and I have no TV at all. I'm looking for a 70". Are there any TVs out right now that can hang with an elite or at least be acceptable enough to consider compared to an elite for under $4000? The only one I can think of is the vizio P series. I've seen side by side comparisons with an F8500 posted on AVS forum, and the black levels were pretty impressive. The only thing that has me worried it vizios quality control. There's a 70" floor model at my local best buy for $1799. If I get a good warranty I think I'd be OK.

Now, my question is, should I jump on the 70" P series for $1799 or wait it out until the 2015 P series drops or the R series later this year? I just wish the R was a 70" and not a "65.

Thanks.

Consider a projector or wait for an HDR 4k tv to come out.

Thanks. So I'm guessing the R series has it and the other 2 don't?
