I'm hoping that they allow remote access to files on our desktop or laptops. Streaming music or videos across our local networks will be killer!

I'm also wondering when they will come out with a limited directory structure to organize files created/used/saved with the various apps in order to access them with other apps.

It's more like Apple dropping the AT&T exclusivity of iPhone, yet to be announced if this is true.

As of now, AT&T will not be dropping the iPhone from their network. More then likely there will be an iPhone version for Verizon Wireless users. Read about it here.

One other thought. As I understand, AT&T iPhones will not be portable to the Verizon Network due to network differences. This would mean that you will need to buy a new iPhone if you decide to change carriers.

It would really make the most sense to wait for a 4G phone since 4G is supposed to use LTW across carriers. Keep in mind though that some carriers have branded their WIMAX mobile as 4G.

I'll research that more, but I thought some of the PDF apps were having trouble accessing them.

Thanks for the tip, though.

My wife just got the 3GS (needed it for her new job). But I've been holding out for the new one which will hopefully come out in 3-4 months. I'm excited to see what's new.

I hope it comes to Verizon. I'd get either that or Nexus One in a heartbeat.

I'm hoping for a Verizon iphone as well! I'd love to have one! At&T doesn't work in my area. I'm running the Blackberry Storm (piece of garbage that needs a battery pull once a day) and would love to replace it with a new iPhone..I've heard that it's got a brand new look too! So this is going to be exciting!

What do you possibly need with 700 apps? Lol, I've had my phone over a year and still have less than 50, and I only use about 10 of them.

I don't even have an ipod touch yet(since they failed at the last release) but I used to just look through all the new and top 100 apps multiple times a day and download all the apps i figure i would use at least once....but then i had about 700 so i havent even looked for apps made in the past year and a half so i still have the same amount
