"Why did you choose to include a Blu-ray Disc in The Live Anthology?"

"Clearly, right now, it's the closest you can get to sitting in the control room. I don't know how many people it will immediately appeal to, but more and more people are going to come this way."

Nice quote, Tom!

ok.... that wasnt mentioned and the article was about the anthology so it seemed like you were unaware that it was released already.

Nah, mine was pre-ordered, AND 1 of 3 reasons for getting my Blu player in the first place. Other 2 being Neil Young, and EASY RIDER.

This makes me wish I could appreciate Tom Petty. I just never seemed to like anything he did with regards to music.

I hear he's a good fella though...So, I can appreciate that.

Default Fantastic Artist - Fantastic Performer - Very Perceptive and Progressive

Hello

Tom Petty has always been a remarkable artist and performer; add to that extremely progressive and astute.

I will be purchasing this remarkable offering; well done Tom Petty!

But Damn The Torpedoes will be a part of the CLASSIC ALBUMS series. This looks to be an AUDIO ONLY release.

Not in their entiirety, no. It's a documentary-style show that discusses and disects an album, song-by-song. All the others I already have ( AJA, DARK SIDE OF THE MOON, RUMOURS, BAT OUT OF HELL ) just play clips.

Dobyblue and I go back and forth in the COMMENTS section about the series.
The series goes all the way back to the VHS days. IF you like band members and producers, and engineers sitting at the mixing console, discussing the album, and fiddling with the faders...then you'll love the Classic Albums series.

My response to the guy over at Amazon was to point out he can get the aluminum 2 channel CD for his truck at Barnes And Noble for 8 bucks !
