Default Usual Suspects April Release (BD+DVD combo)?

I searched but did not find anything so posting this. I was planning on buying the "Usual Suspects" BD considering the nice price point its at now ...but then saw this new disc set that's slated for an April release -

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-U...-Blu-ray/9937/

Does anyone know if this new release is going to be an "upgrade" over the earlier one? I see the added DVD which does not really interest me but I thought it may be worth waiting if it were to be upgraded in terms of PQ/AQ and Extras...

Haven't seen this live yet, but I'd assume the included DVD is the one already in circulation, which includes a commentary and other extras. So that alone may make this an 'upgrade' over the existing BD-only edition.

I'm pretty sure it's just the tired and overused ploy of releasing a recycled transfer in different packaging. It's the same exact movie just put in an ugly dvd sized case (which includes the DVD). And this set costs almost twice as much as the BD only version.
They're doing this to promote those who do not yet have a blu ray player to consider buying one.

Have you seen this to confirm? The Bourne BD/DVD releases last month were in BD-sized cases.

No I haven't seen it in person yet. It wasn't at my Best Buy today. So I may be wrong...but the Toy Story releases that were labeled as DVD+ Blu-ray were in a black DVD sized case, so I have a feeling these will too. But we'll wait and see...

Bourne is a different studio. These Fox/MGM combos are in DVD cases.

The thread title is misleading. It should say "DVD + Blu-ray Combo"

Anyways, I do not like these combo packs.

The only version of the DVD that is still in print is the one that was released last year, so it must be that release that's included.

It's the exact same blu-ray, now with the addition of the DVD.

You can buy the Toy Story movies in BD-sized cases or DVD-cases...
