Metro 2033 - Blu-ray Forum

Is anyone thinking about getting this game? Some of the videos and screenshots make it look really good, but I am on the fence about it.

It seems like it is going to be good, but I will be awaiting reviews also. Some of the guys who made STALKER also made this which is a good thing. The early previews I have read sound great.

I've had my eye on this game since I first heard about it. The reviews have been pretty good so far (82 on metacritic). The only thing people really seem to be nitpicking about are the shooting mechanics. I think I'm going to wait for a price drop, though. I have a decent sized backlog right now, and single player games tend to drop quickly.

i was hoping to get some feedback here. everyone seems to waiting on the 1st price drop. kinda makes you wonder about it. it does not have a multi. but i wouldn't use that as a deal breaker.

i got it from someone who played through it twice. it is a good game to buy used. the story is interesting & yes the shooting mechs. are not good. they do keep you in character. the weapons & ammo are scavenged or pieced together. he (you) is(are) not a professional soldier, ranger, elite, master chief, or some whoopa$$ fresh out of prison. the levels give a claustrophobic feeling. it is dark & even outside there is a feeling of being closed in (time sensitive mask). the sound effects are good & not overdone. the character design is not good, you see a guy selling ammo & then turn around only to see the same guy begging for ammo. i am on the 3rd level & i have enjoyed it so far. for $35 or so i'd pick it up. i am considering an ebay auction after i finish it. will post it here if i do.

I was planning to get Metro 2033 used in a month or two, maybe even later. Between Just Cause 2, Dante's Inferno, Bioshock 2, trying to watch Breaking Bad and Battlestar Galactica, and oh yeah, life - just no time for another new game. Looks decent, though.

My friend said it is a good game and worth a rent...Not a buy at full price...So i'll wait till it goes under $30 before I check it...

I'll pick it up when I buy the 360 again because I'm waiting to see how the supposed 360 slim pans out (if there really is one but clues are pointing there will be one).
