So no news yet. Unreal. Fox go and lock them and don't bother releasing elsewhere. Uncalled for.

Just noticed these titles where missing comparing to what has been released in North America and figured I would find the reason why posted here somewhere.

Recently picked up the previous 9 releases for a good price and it irks me I can't add these two titles to the lot.

It's ridiculous and inexcusable that they are still unavailable in the UK . . . and when are classics such as OHMSS and The Spy Who Loved Me, which are two titles that will benefit the most from HD transfers, going to be available?

They're both out i Norway, and since the Scandinavian releases are similar in almost every aspects to the ones in the UK, I find it kind of odd that these aren't available in the UK.

About time the rest of the movies get a Blu-ray release as well!

Go multiregion Bluray! It'll also mean you get Never Say Never Again.

Lovely 1080p image

Simple as that.

My concern is when the series eventually continues on Blu Ray, will the films be repackaged? Right now, I've got the nine UK releases sitting on my shelf - and very pretty they look, too.
But, as is so often the case with video releases, I fear if they attempt to re-start the series, they may also revamp the cases, expecting the faithful collector to double dip in the name of continuity.

In Norway? WTF! Then what the heck is SF in Sweden waiting for?

Perhaps MGM's financial troubles is holding back more Bond on Blu-ray. With Bond 23 coming out next year, lets hope this ignites more interest for them to release the next cluster of titles.

I don't think it's the financial situation.
I think they just decided they wanted to spread them out more, and make people wait for the new film before they released any of the others.
that way they have some releases to tie to the next film.
as for those already released two and the UK though, who knows.

Well, they released all the Rocky films on Blu Ray in the middle of their financial difficulties, so I don't think it's that either.

I heard they didn't sell that well initially - but, I think they were very highly priced. I remember the first 6 being released and on the very same day they were doing a 2 for 1 promotion on Bond DVD's which were priced at around £8.99, so you could get 4 movies on DVD for about the same price as one of the Blu Ray's, and you could pick from any one of the Bond catalogue. I think it was commercial suicide.

Would be nice to see some more Bond on Blu Ray.

My theory is that they will wait until Bond 23 comes out and then release a few more blu-rays around that time or all of them at once individually and in a box set, but that would mean waiting until Oct/Nov of 2011.

I think part of it is that they killed the market with too many special/ultimate editions in a short period of time as far as 007 is concerned. The general public will most likely settle with the DVDs for now.

Personally I didn't jump on the Bond BDs until one Swedish online retailer dropped the prices on a bunch of MGM / Fox titles to what in the UK would approximate to a £8.99 price bracket. That was just too good an offer to pass up.

Yeah I suppose your right. I mean at the moment I have no Bond blu-rays and may wait a while to see what happens. But you have to admit the Ultimate Edition DVDs do look amazing, even if they aren't in Hi-Def, some of the best looking DVDs I've ever come across.

Over all they did a stellar job on the UE DVDs, a few glitches here and there (that appear to be cleared up with the BD releases) but all things considered still stellar.

On another note. It seems I can't locate any Norwegian BD release of TMWTGG or LTK (as stated above), at least not from any of my Norwegian sources. Given that the distributor is the same in Norway as in Sweden it would be rather odd to have them issued there but not here, not completely uncommon but still odd.

I only have 'Die Another Day' on DVD, and the rest of Brosnan's Bond on VHS.
I think i'll hold back and wait until they release the complete set. I can't wait to see the chase scenes in HD, they'll look stunning!

SF released these together with Quantum of Solace as part of the "unofficial" vol. 4 box-set.

Checked them also, can only find the first three volumes.

EDIT: Just found one Norwegian online store listing the 4th volume. Man, this one was difficult to locate! Not as cheap as the others.

I found Man With the Golden Gun and License to Kill in a store here in Oslo. Bought them both for under NOK 200. That's about $35...

As I don't want Quantum yet (I'm still waiting for a special edition like Casino Royale) this was pure luck. The store wasn't allowed to sell these as stand alone titles.
