I only really want Raiders, but I want it quite badly.

I only really want Alien and Aliens, but I also want them a bunch.

I'm scared to wish for Star Wars, because no matter how they are released they will find some way to disappoint me.

And while I like Back to the Future, I would pick them up cheap if they were good transfers.

But I really want a fancy shiny Lord of the Rings EE, all three of them and that would be my number one wish. So that one.

Assuming the original theatrical cuts are made available, it has the be the original STAR WARS Trilogy. If not, I'd default to INDIANA JONES. The EE's of THE LORD OF THE RINGS are must haves, but they can't top the list because, really, if you keep finding the time to rewatch them over and over, you'd have to be unemployed--go get a job.

The Alien Saga for me.

Indiana Jones, LOTR Extended Versions, Star Wars, and Jurassic Park all occupy the next tier down on my list.

I doubt if Star Wars will disappoint. Although Lucas added some scenes to the DVD releases, they included the theatrical release, and the quality of the scans are almost HD like. They are the best looking DVDs I have seen in clarity, color saturation, and sharpness. Last year at Comic Con the LucasFilms spokesperson said a 6 Blu-Ray Ultimate Collection is in the works, in the next few years. That is my complaint, the amount of time it takes Lucas to release his work because of his fear of pirating of a high quality format. The DVD release took so long, he claimed, because they were busy filming the first 3 episodes. When the Blu-ray and HD-DVD war was one he said he was not happy with either format and would not release them in either one. Sigh. He is too rich to need the money of a release and it seems too paranoid to let us to have a decent copy of his films.

I don't know about that. While the DVDs had great clarity and sharpness, they also had the worst color saturation that I have ever seen which for now I will assume is because of the rush to get them out at that time. I remember having to try to recalibrate my TV once I threw them in my DVD player only to discover that the crushed blacks, blue tints and over saturation were due to bad DVD authoring.

It will be interesting to see how much of all this gets corrected for the Blu-rays.

You mean the non-anamorphic ones? Yeah, they look great.

for me right now it's a toss up between raiders and star wars....leaning a little more to the star wars side.

but i want all 6 star wars and all 4 indy movies in one package, that's the only way i'll buy either of these sets.

Star Wars. Once I have all six, and Disney starts releasing their catalog, I'll be a happy blu-ray collector.

Back to the Future baby! Looks like I'm the first voter for that title.

That said, if the Star Wars trilogy was a lovingly remastered version of the original theatrical trilogy, not the cgi remixes, I'd vote for that above pretty much any title.
