Default What would you do for your 30th birthday?

So in a few months I'll be turning 30, . I'm trying to come up with what I will be doing.

Here's the options so far:

1. Cabo or Cancun to an all inclusive resort
2. San Francisco
3. Las Vegas
4. Stay home and throw a big party

For 1, 2, and 3, a few close friends would travel with us and my brother.

I've never done Cabo/Cancun or San Francisco. For any of the trips it would be 4 days 3 nights. The nice thing about Cabo/Cancun is that it's only about $500 or so per person air/accommodations. San Francisco and Vegas could end up being more.

So what would you do?

Ain't going to Mexico right now, and I'd advise you to avoid it, too. This is not a good time down there, man. Lots of stuff happening that's not making the newspapers.

Vegas is good, and don't waste too much time on the Strip - get out to Lake Mead, or even better: line up a Grand Canyon rafting trip. It can get nuts out there, changes your view of the world. Your brother and your buds would love it, think it over.

I say Las Vegas also, as long as you don't blow your savings.

The advisories against travel to Mexico are only for the main border towns. Going to Cancun or Cabo seems fine since from the airport it's a shuttle straight to the resort then I would not leave the resort at all since there is a beach and it's all inclusive.

I agree that as long as you stay at your resort you will be fine. Cancun isn't a bad area anyway, they've done a good job of keeping out the crime. My parents were in Cancun at an all-inclusive in February and didn't have any problems.

We'd be going to Temptations for the resort since we are all adults and don't want kids running around. Plus Temptations is tops optional

San Francisco is great, it is very touristy though, so if you want a big blowout it may not be your best choice, but if you want to enjoy the sights San Fran is a terrific place.

I would go with option 4.

Only if you don't live in SF, Las Vegas, or Mexico. I wouldn't willingly go to any of those places.

Well.... Actually I have friends I really love in SF but I don't like California at all so I would rather they came to visit me.

I would probably do 1 or 4 depending on the cost of 1. Especially if you could take your lady with you. Mainly because it makes me think of your wedding, and I am sappy like that.

Of course my wife is gonna go! Actually a bunch of my friends are down to do any of them. Which makes me happy I have them as friends.

I'll be joining the 30 club shortly after you, and I think Cabo is the way to go. I've been twice and it's a really cool place. You can go and party, and/or just relax by the pool at your resort.

I have a feeling you are going to end up in Vegas though. Still pretty cool. Enjoy your last few months of 20's!!!

Thanks
