Lunar Set for PSP Classic RPG getting remade in a big way! by IGN Staff May 13, 2009 - Sixteen and thirty-two bit RPG powerhouse Gamearts is alive and kicking! Grandia Online is about to see its full unveiling next week, but before that, Famitsu managed to get the scoop on another franchise revival for the studio: Lunar. The original Lunar: The Silver Star is being remade under the name Lunar: Harmony of Silver Star. The remake will hit the Japanese PSP through Gung Ho Works this Fall, priced at 5,040 yen. Players can look forward to a number of new features for the remake. The visuals appear to have been totally redone for the PSP hardware. Battle visuals, in particular, feature high quality effects for special attacks. Movie scenes and sound are also being remastered. Outside of presentation, the game's story is said to be powered up, complete with new scenarios that touch upon past events. Lunar has been remade before. Following its Sega CD debut, the game came to the Sega Saturn and the Sony PlayStation. This new version looks like it could be the best one yet, so RPG fans should definitely keep an eye out for a possible international release. WOOOOT!! One of my all time favorite RPGs. I still have my WorkingDesigns collectors box set, but Id definitely buy this again. |

http://www.siliconera.com/2009/05/12...coming-to-psp/ Enhanced Port of the Playstation version of Lunar I with new scenarios added exclusively for the PSP. Speculation is that either XSeed or Gaijinworks may pick up domestic rights. |

i think sony finally realised that the reason the DS really does so well is because of how many of us older crowds who bought it for all the RPG options it has .. thats the only thing my PSP has been sorely lacking is fun quality RPGs ive tried a few and they were generic at best ...

This is the best day of my entire life. This and Eternal Blue are some of my favorite games of all time. Here's hoping to an american release.

Either way, I sold my PSOne version like a million years ago so this is a welcome re-addition to my library! |

This comes out in a few weeks anyone else plan on picking it up?
Hopefully it sells well enough redo Lunar 2 or even make a new game in the series (that doesn't suck like the one on the DS). Though I could deal without the "Lady Luck be kind!" constantly in Lunar 2. Demo was nice, graphic changes weren't too drastic the new voices and song lyrics may take some getting used to over the PS1 games but they weren't too terrible (I generally prefer the original language + subs for most things).
