Today, friends showed me what appeared to be a very small wasp's nest inside my rear passenger side door. We still don't know if it's live but we're figuring it better to spray it with killer before removing it. Fortunately it appeared that there was no exposure to it inside the car, and nothing's emerged from it yet.
I gotta ask how it got there. Cars move, so it seems an impractical nesting ground. And I didn't realize wasps (it was a honeycomb-esque nest) typically preferred dark concealed areas. I suppose the builders might have snuck in through the hinges of the car doors, but I should think they'dve noticed at some point that the nest moved. I'm also trying to decide if I should open the door and put a tarp over the car entrance to reduce the noxious fumes that get in the car. Or if I shoudl ask a car wash to blast it out with water hoses or something. |
