Man, what a terrible last movie for a great filmmaker.

I don't like the movie much, but I own it on DVD and might upgrade. Don't ask me to explain it.

I actually enjoyed this film, but is this pre-order legit?

It has no date and almost no information on what's on the release. Also, Samuel Myers films? Never heard of this distribution label.

Terrible in what way? I’m thinking of blind buying this. Badly acted/directed? Historically false/inaccurate? Boring? The trailer looks pretty interesting. Maybe I’m better off previewing this before purchasing.

The first and third (the second I have no idea).

Truth be told, I barely remember anything about it, despite reviewing the DVD for a now-defunct site a dozen years ago, but I remember finding it an incredible chore to sit through, only enlivened by some unintentional chuckles studded throughout. It just baffled me that a movie with THIS much talent in front of and behind the camera could be such a slog to get through.

I personally really enjoyed the film. Didn't find it boring the slightest and thought Javier Bardem was great in it. I guess it really depends on the viewer, but I don't get the hate it's getting here.

Ordered this and got it in today. PQ looks good, but it is a BD-R disc. Not sure why they don't make all discs pressed at this point.

Yeah, I wish it was pressed. I will say this, the film looks great.

I've had a few issues with BD-R and DVD-R's in the past where some pixels would just show up during the film. This one didn't have any of that and was crystal clear from start to finish.

I guess, the big issue with BD-R's is their lifespan, but the sad part is all of my DVD-R's still work, while I've already had regular DVD's die out on me. Who knows what will happen with the blu-rays.

That makes sense. It worked for Sony, who is now pressing their discs when it comes to the MOD line. I guess this company is really small, and can't afford it as they don't expect to sell many of them.
