Yahoo! has this list on their site. I like the list. Seen a majority but not all of them.

I like Goodfellas ok, but I've always thought it was way overblown.
Maybe it was just me, but Hard Boiled got repetitive and boring pretty fast. Man I really don't like that poster for ESotSM. I think many of the best movies on this list are foreign... like Diving Bell/Lives of Others/4 Months just from the last couple years. EDIT: I've seen ~64.5 or so. I couldn't last all the way through The Bourne Ultimatum. Last edited by wilky61; 04-15-2010 at 09:41 PM. |

I'm on the other side. There are only 5 on the list I haven't seen. I guess I better make sure to watch them before I die.
And to anyone wondering, the 5 I have not seen are: Living in Oblivion Fireworks Yi Yi Elephant 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days The foreign films and Living in Oblivion I probably just missed and never got around to. Gus Van Sant is always so hit-or-miss with me, that I never gave Elephant a chance. Last edited by QuasidodoJr; 04-15-2010 at 09:47 PM. |

4 Months is an amazing piece of art, imo. The final shot of that film (shot through a glass window, which is key) just blows my mind. This film is in the highest tier of all films I've ever seen. |

I have seen 78 of them, 79 once my Avatar Blu comes in. A lot of the others were the foreigns that have come out that I just plain have not gotten to. My favorite on the list is Schindler's List, but I may never watch it again because it is so hard to watch.
Lone Star is a criminally underseen film that I hope any of you that have not seen it will check it out. |
