Default Most over looked film of 2009

What would you say?

My vote goes for Brothers. I didn't really hear anything about this while it was in theaters. I just watched this last week and I'm still thinking about it. Toby does a excellent job as well as the rest of the cast.

Everyone should check this out!

Moon is the best answer I could think of. A shame the academy completely ignored it.

Moon is a great choice. The Road was also overlooked and a very good film.

That's just getting a limited release in the states now. Hopefully a blu will be out in short order.

Moon is probably the most over-looked film. It certainly didn't recieve the attention from Academy members that it deserved(0 nominations).

The Phoenix Film Critics Society actually gave Moon it's Overlooked film award. Past winners include:

In Bruge(2008)
Stardust(2007)
Hard Candy(2006)
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang(2005)
Stage Beauty(2004)
Pieces of April(2003)
About a Boy(2002)

Absolutely +1 for Moon. How Sam Rockwell did not at least get an Oscar nomination for Best Actor still boggles me.

Other Nominations:
- Cold Souls
- Knowing
- Outlander
- Pontypool
