neither, it's "We don't wanna go HD Period, Blu or HD DVD" It's you're damn lucky we came out with DVD.

Maybe we should sign a petition that we would in fact buy a Blu Ray box set of Star Wars to get Lucas Seeing more $$ and seizing the opportunity. I mean it's very simple logic, I don't see what Lucas doesn't get. I don't even care if he goes neutral he should just get on with it and do something, get the wheels turning man! TURN THOSE WHEELS!!!

What the Hell! Die hard #2 and Lord of the Rings #3. No wonder I stopped hanging around game sites.

Originally they had Terminator 1&2 up there, until everyone called them out (check out the comments). Now they are jumping on them about Cars even though it has already been announced. IGN has no clue what they are doing anymore.

I don't think that's far fetched. I mean I understand Classics are great and that some films are special to our hearts over others, but I think the whole Sci-Fi and Fantasy and CGI theme is and should be the genre that most benifits from High Def or Action Films. I mean take Casablanca for instance, granted this might be a great film, but do you really care to see it in high def? Do you really want to spend 30 dollars to see a high def version of a black and white film? "Oh those blacks and whites are strong I can now see Gray and this is the form of Gray I couldn't see earlier"

maybe you should read from now on
"We haven't arranged these in any order and we're not counting down to the best-of-the-best. These are just 50 discs that we want to see celebrated in HD! "

Going through the comments I saw more hd dud FUD from fanboys saying things like how Blu in some cases looks worse, and doesn't have as many features like dual disc. Does this idiot really think we want our movies on a dual disc? The whole reason I want a high def movie is to watch it in high def. Not something upconverted.

he's still not sure the format will be the dominant one for the next possible decade...

he has to make sure there are enough adopters to buy his movies...

No kidding. Nothing about Die Hard screams HD. The advantages of Lotr over Die Hard in HD would be like 4:1.

Not sure about Die Hard, but otherwise agree 100% with the list to date. Lawrence of Arabia needs to be in the next ten! No CGI-- it's all real-- now there's a novel idea!

I'd spend more for one Die Hard Blu-ray than I would for the entire extended edition LOTR trilogy, even if it came with a little Frodo doll or a sword of Aragorn letter opener. And God knows LOTR fans love their miniature replicas for courageous letter-opening.

Lol.. point is not which movie you prefer imo but which movie would benefit more in the HD experience. And Die Hard does not belong on that top ten list. Not that Die Hard 1 isn't a great movie and all.

They specifically stated the list isn't even in order lol. It's a five part list in no order whatsoever, there is no top ten. And if there were, it would be the last day's ten.

And it belongs there a hell of alot more than Shrek. Shrek is a plague beset upon humanity and a cold death rattle of the once great Mike Myers.

My only gripe is that the entire Die Hard saga isn't there.
