Default APC H15 conditioner - delay input??

I am wondering where to plug my amplifier?? PreAmp or Amp ("delayed").

If it goes into the delayed plug, what is the best setting? I think the choices go from 0 to 12 seconds. Why is there a delay for these 2 inputs anyway?

You should plug it into the delayed outlet. Its purpose is to give time to the other components to power up and stabilize before any high current components are powered on, which could help to minimize speaker damage

Thanks...does it matter how much time to allow? Why would there be a choice from 0 to 12 seconds? Is 2 to 3 seconds ok?
