Well, never did see this back in the day. It does look like a big, dumb, fun buddy cop movie.
Although, I think in retrospect it manages to make Midnight Run look like Shakespeare.

It's about time! I love this movie. Very good news. Was working at a movie theater when it was released as a Christmas movie. Watched it often during it's run and numerous times since then.

I bet they will mostly never realize this release exists. Did they take much interest in the DVD release from WAC that has been readily available since 2009?

Finally. Good thing I got rid of the DVD as I think it was sourced from the laserdisc master from the early '90s. I also heard there was an offensive line missing from that version.

LOL, there's also the fact that the title contains a nickname that isn't exactly racially sensitive! Oh well, times were different, it's a fun movie though.

Just watched this for the first time ever over the weekend on DVD (purchased it thru WAC back in April). I thought it was a great popcorn flick. Will have to look at upgrading to bluray during their next sale.

Anyway, it's a great film, and a blu ray release has been long overdue. It's great news to hear this announcement. Kudos to WAC for finally releasing this on blu ray.

I'm not sure about this. I saw the movie quite a few times back when it came out in 74 but I'm not sure I liked it that much.

I might wait and see how it looks. If the video gets good reviews I might get it.

Are these pressed discs?

Yes, all WAC Blu-ray titles are pressed, not burned BD-Rs.
