Help on some titles please

I'm looking to purchase a few BD on Amazon.ca and I would like some info on the following titles:

The Return
Cellular
Cursed
Pulse
The Others

Anyone Have any of these titles? What's the PQ and AQ like? How about supplements? Thanks for your help.


Yikes! Just looked up some of the reviews on this board. They are that bad?

They are not as bad as some people make them out to be, it's honestly just personal preference.

Are you a fan of movies in the original ratio, or do you prefer them to take up the entire screen? Do you notice the difference between a 1080i movie, or a 1080p movie? Those are the real questions you should ask yourself.

The Others is 1080i, but is in it's proper ratio of 1.78 ("Full-Screen so to speak"). Though it is 1080i, it's a very good transfer all things considered. Have yet to hear about a US release, so it could be a while. It is in it's proper OAR.

The Return: 1080p @ 2.35:1

Cellular: This film is in 1080i and is in 1.78:1 (NOT OAR). I wasn't a fan of the film, or the transfer, mainly because I believe in OAR.

Cursed: 1080i, 1.78:1 (NOT OAR), Theatrical Cut. Didn't like the movie, plus its 1.78:1 and not OAR.

Pulse: 1080i, 1.78:1 (NOT OAR), Unrated Cut. I thought I heard rumors of this film appearing in Europe sometime, though I could be mistaken.

AQ is always impressive with the Alliance releases, despite the OAR issues. There are no special features on Canadian Exclusives (maybe one or two)
