Will this be region locked or released in the UK and is this worth the blind-buy?

I'm waiting for Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland next year.

Anyone ever play American McGee's Alice on the PC? I loved that game.

Caught a few minutes of this on SciFi. I realize this was meant as a re-imagining but it felt like a silly excuse for inserting fictional icons into a very bizarre science fiction film. Much more bizarre than the scifi channel take on Wizard of Oz. Unlike with the Oz re-imagining this felt like a means to bank on Tim Burton's Alice re-imagining, ala The Asylum.

I really liked it, but I'm a sucker for Alice stories. I'll most likely pick this up if it goes on sale, it had really nice CGI environments.

I agree that it seemed like Tim Burton's version of Alice, at least from the first 45 minutes I saw of it.

I watched this on scifi last night and liked it. I'll pick it up when it is on sale.

For those that have seen this would you recommend it for $19.99? It has 50 five star reviews at amazon and seems like something I might be interested in. If anyone could give their opinion on the mini series I would appreciate it.

It's a very lose adaptation. The characters are there but they're mostly very different. I like it but you should probably rent it first.

I heard it was just as disappointing as the other adaptation of Oz with Zooey <3.

Though Kathy Bates being cast as the Queen of Hearts is genius.

I enjoyed Tin Man.

Only real flaw IMO was Zooey's acting. Not being a hater just in that movie it was pretty bad.

It is definitely not as good as Tin Man. Mildly entertaining if one is a hardcore Alice In Wonderland fan, but others will find it boring in parts.

It is visually playful and brilliantly cast - Matt Frewer is absolutely superb as the White Knight - but it pushes the story a little too far into the real world for my tastes, losing the surrealism and imagination of the novels.

I think it's in the category of "would be nice to own but maybe wait for the sales or rent first".

Watching it right now. Solid transfer. I'm liking it even more the second time.
