how is F.E.A.R.? - Blu-ray Forum

i completely forgot about this game and haven't heard much about it. how does it compare to RFoM? i had it preordered awhile back, but cancelled it cuz i didn't want 2 shooters right away. is it worth picking up?

Adequate. It was a dissapointment after Resistance but Res' spoils you. Fear to me, was a PS2 game with bumped up graphics. Now, I suppose you could say that about most games but although the graphics were smooth it was mostly uneventful for me. I Love FPS's but FEAR was nothing to write home about. I've played worse... I've played better. If you can get it used for cheaper, then it's worth picking up but not at full price. That's just my opinion.

its WAY better on the PC get if for that, save ur money IMO.

I don't think there's any doubt that RFoM is better when comparing FEAR on the console. A much more fair comparision would be RFoM vs. FEAR PC since FEAR was originally developed for PC. I own both titles and would play FEAR on the PC any day over RFoM. I have a fairly decent PC gaming rig so I crank up the settings, and IMO ther's just no comparison in graphics and gameplay - FEAR PC wins hands down.

Its a complete waste of money...don't get it. Its a very old PC game, with very old graphics, ands the story line just sucks.

Avoid at all costs.

Don't wast $60. I paid 10 at walmart for the PC version and it came with the expansion pack

I find it funny. All the threads you see on the main page have to do with paramount and right in the middle, all by itself, you see...HOW IS F.E.A.R.?
