Movies coming in 2011

I was very disappointed with the lack of block buster movies coming out this summer. Last year we got to look forward to a new Star Trek, Terminator, and District 9 and many more which I am sure I have forgotten. This summer seems to be really bad and there seems to be nothing great to look forward to coming out on blu-ray during this year's holiday season, which is when the summer block busters are released on blu-ray.

Don't get me wrong. I haven't forgotten Avatar, which I refuse to watch until I get my theater upgraded with wall to wall acoustic paneling and a 92" screen and 7.2 surround sound (maybe 7.3).

Tell me or pinch me if I am dreaming. I found a list of movies coming out for 2011. (oh just remembered Tron for this summer too!)

Spider Man 4 - kind of a chick flick but cool
Pirates of The Caribbean 4
Cars 2
Transformers 3
The Smurfs - not too interested but thought it was funny.
Puss in Boots
Batman 3
Conan - Arnold inspired me and many other bodybuilder to take up weights and same with terminator that is why I am so disapointed in the 4 and probably Termiator 5
District 10 - I LOVED district 9 up there with star trek, but not avatar. I think avatar will be an American icon of this generation like star was was for me.
Ghost Rider 2
Ghostbusters 3
GI Joe 2
Men In Black 3
Mission Impossible 4
National Treasure 3
Rambo 5 - grew up on rambo 1,2 and 3. The art for this has me intrigued but I am not too excited unless this art is actually has something to do with the movie.
Sherlock Holmes 2
Terminator 5
The Hobbit - Is this another lord of the rings movie to carry on after the third lord of the rings ? MAN I CAN'T WAIT!
Wolverine 2
X-Men First Class

A few more look interesting.

1) So here's the thing. Can anyone ABSOLUTELY confirm or deny any of these movies actually coming out in 2011.
2) I was thinking on waiting on my upgrade since the technology in projector would be better and maybe rotel will have a 9.x surround sound processor too! You can never have enough speakers!
3) What are your favorite movies coming out in 2011. Is it just me, or who else thinks this summer is lacking in block busters.

I'm guessing that The Smurfs will be CG animated. If not, they better get Jeff Goldblum to play Gargamel. I think he's the only actor out there that looks enough like him.

By the way, as of yesterday, the studio officially announced THE HOBBIT has been delayed to 2013. I'm getting damn near panicked about it now; Ian McKellan's, what?, 120 years old? They better get moving or there won't be a Gandalf...

I really can't see anymore Terminator movies being made as T4 was panned by critics and after a second viewing I can see why. There just isn't the demand anymore for the franchise to continue, not to mention it had been put up for auction. I wouldn't be interested in seeing a fifth movie and I don't think the majority of audiences do either. So remove it from the list as it hasn't even been confirmed and it never will.

That site appears to be full of it, taking rumours of releases, or movies that have only just entered development and stating as fact that they will be released next year

Some do have set release dates for 2011, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, The Smurfs and Puss In Boots for example but the others appear just wild

Spiderman 4 will be a complete re-boot, ignoring the 3 previous films and starting over, they are still looking to cast this movie

Batman 3 is just an idea at the moment, Christopher Nolan has stated that he has an idea for it, but it will probably be a 2012 release at the earliest

Ghost Rider 2 has casting issues. They need to start production before November this year, but Nicholas Cage is scheduled to film National Treasure 3 for Disney. So they may have to recast his role, or it will not get made at all

Some of the other films on the list may come, rumours include them as being thought about, but certainly not for 2011
