Summer TV Season

I have just very recently been seeing commercials for upcoming shows debuting for the summer season and I must say they all have pretty terrible names, and all look to be trying to cash in on success of shows like The Mentalist and House, everybody has to be so different and edgy on every show now, that just takes away from the edge for me, anyways check these out and tell me what you think.


Mental - Tuesday 9:00 PM on FOX (starts May 26, 2009) - Psychiatrist Jack Gallagher handles his mental health patients at a Los Angeles hospital with unorthodox treatments. He is overseen by Nora, the department administrator who is also his ex-lover. Debuting May 26th on FOX.

The Listener - Tuesday 10:00 PM on NBC - Toby Logan is a 24-year-old paramedic who can read people's thoughts. The show, which contains humorous and tragic elements, follows Toby as he uses his power to solve crimes. The series has been given a 13 episode order by NBC.


The Philanthropist - Wednesday 10:00 PM on NBC (starts June 24, 2009) A billionaire with a heart is at the center of this NBC drama. This money man uses his financial power to help those in need no matter what the risk or cost.
