Dark City Versions

I have heard great things about Dark City. I have always been a sci-fi fan, from indie, to low budget, to hollywood blockbuster films. I have had my eye on Dark City for a while, and know now that it is part of HMV's 2 for $20 deal (or $12.99 by itself)

on HMV's site, Alliance is listed as the publisher, however on the Future Shop and Best Buy sites, Warner is listed instead.

this leads me to believe there is an alliance release and a warner release

Blu-ray.com shows both versions, but with the alliance one released in 2009, while the "American" Warner version in 2008. This seems unusual on Alliance's part, who releases movies exclusively in Canada a year or two before the US sees a release.

Can anyone inform me as to what the differences are. Is the alliance version a barebones release. I know the Warner one is supposedly packed with extras, does the Alliance have any? How about subtitles? HD Audio?
