you really can't see a reason?
Mass Effect 1/2. The best games I have ever played. Alan Wake. Looks really good. Splinter Cell Conviction. Also looks good. You can play games offline. (something my ps3 isnt letting me do) Jrpgs. Live is a really good service too. |

Sure you can, There's a whole sub-forum for it since the site revision a couple weeks ago. As with everything else, though, bashing and thread crapping will bring the Mods.
As to the OP: Mass Effect 1/2, Gears of War, Halo, better controller.... |

Awesome choices. Also I prefer the controller with fist person or 3rd person shooting games and Sports as well (Fifa and Madden).

Please do not post in a thread if you're not going to add anything particularly useful to the conversation...."this thread will be locked," "[popcorn smiley]," etc. If you don't care to involve yourself in the topic, simply move along
![]() And for the record, console bashing is against the rules, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with discussing XBOX/XBOX 360/XBOX 9000 on here so long as it is in the right forum. |

IMO the 360 has the superior controller. It feels better in my hand, and I never feel like I'm going to break it. As forgames, I feel that the Halo series and Gears of War make it worth having. I'm also looking forward to Splinter Cell: Conviction.

It's not at all a touchy subject and you should feel free to post any XBOX questions you may have, just make sure they are in the Gaming section, not PS3
![]() I have an original XBOX and still play it, and there are a slew of great games for it. Some of my favorites: Halo 1 and 2, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, Hitman 2, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, and Burnout 3. Fable was also supposed to be great but I never got around to playing it. I would agree that the Halo series was the system's saving grace. Edit: OP, are you referring to the original or 360?? If you haven't heard then you haven't been looking, as there are plenty of great exclusive games that you can't play on the PS3.

Mass Effect 1 & 2 alone are enough to warrant a purchase of a 360 in my eyes. Just brilliant games. There are so many great games for the 360 though. Also, many of the multi-platform games out there tend to be slightly better on the 360 then they are on the PS3.

Xbox Live Arcade is a biggie no one's mentioned yet. Lots of good "smaller" games there, both brand new creations and re-released classics. The community (i.e. homebrew) games have a fair number of gems too.
As for retail games that have not yet been mentioned, the Fable series is a big one, as is the Forza series. Oh, and Crackdown is a great game, with a sequel around the corner. Ace Combat 6 is a very good flight sim, but I for one prefer HAWX and that's cross-platform. Lesse... what else? Lots of people like Saints Row... and if sim-racing isn't your style, there's the ever popular Project Gotham Racing series. Dead Rising and the Left 4 Dead series are really popular among the zombie crowd, especially the latter. Anyway, there's lots of Xbox exclusives beyond just the Halo series. Although that series shouldn't be discounted, especially considering how much expansion of the universe they're doing. Who knows what is yet up Bungie's sleeve? |

Of course, you can't talk about the 360 with out the RROD being brought up. Yes, it's real. Yes, it sucks. It feels wrong to say this, but I feel fortunate it's only happened to me once (I have a launch console). Most of my friends with a 360 have all had theirs die at least once. Microsoft stepped up by extending the warranty to 3 years and they appear to have solved the problem, but it still leaves a nasty taste in your mouth. The console is also fairly loud. I knew about the RROD problem going in (my system wasn't purchased at launch), but felt that the benefits out-weighed the risks. Justin |

As far OP's ?: same thing I tell everyone: only you can decide if a device, gaming or otherwise, is worth a spot on your theater. Look at the games, think about your own preferences both with titles and things like controllers, added features, extenuating facts, etc., then decide. |
