Default Paramount Blu-ray releases... PLEASE ADD!

Even though Paramount has put Blu-Ray on the back burner, (I know it will only be temporary) lets make a list of the good Paramount releases so that EVERYONE on blu-ray.com will know what to buy to change Paramount's minds.

My first choice is Top Gun! When this is released, EVERYONE go out and buy it! Any others? Please add!

1. TOP GUN

Cool

Dude, from my understanding Paramount has pulled all future releases for blu-ray, and the company banked $150 million in the deal. I don't think temporary is what they have in mind.

Hate to see Blades of Glory go

Yes, they have cancelled all plans for any titles that had been announced. So you won't be seeing Top Gun anytime soon.

Personally I just wonder what's going to happen with existing titles. I know existing titles can still be purchased; but will they continue to burn Blu Ray discs once their inventory of BDs has been depleted?

For instance .. Sahara. What will happen when all their Sahara copies have been sold out?

I agree, I think it'll be once a store sells through its stock, you wont be able to buy them anymore. I can't imagine Paramount still making Blu-Rays after their deal was struck.

That's why I just bought we were soldiers from amazon. I KNOW!! I shouldn't support paramounts bottom line now that they've screwed me out of "Jack Ryan" but we were soldiers is a good movie.

If you REALLY want this you do have the option to import it from japan.

Maybe i wont die.... but I will still buy paramount on sdvd when they come out (for example, transformers) It is a title that I need to have. I wont resort to HDDVD just to get the movie. I also have top gun, face off, and others on sdvd. I will stick with those until Paramount pulls their head out.

I think that it is merely temporary. With the upcoming disney, sony, and newly announced fox titles, I still think blu ray will come out on top. Its just now up to us to buy more BD so paramount, and eventually universal, see that they lost...

HOWEVER! maybe this is a good thing! It could significantly drop prices of BD movies and players so that more people will buy them over HDDVD. It could happen!

NOOOOOOOO NOT NEXT TOO! I never got to see it! I am not going to get the SD either. Looks like i will have to wait for a long while... I still have to see Face/Off, Top Gun and all of the Jack Ryan movies... There goes my plan

do japan and UK imports play perfectly fine in any US blu ray player? Is it in english just liek as it would be in the US? is there any less impressive specs on this version and how would the quality be? anyone know?

I want to buy the rock from amazon.uk, and face off from japan with the site listed.

I imported Cinderella Man from japan a while ago. Japan blu-ray discs are region A. So they will play in ANY U.S. blu-ray player. Cinderella Man has English PCM audio.
