Anne Hathaway's latest movie will close SXSW 2024, and will be on Prime Video sometime later this year.

‘The Idea of You’ Starring Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine to Close SXSW 2024

Michael Showalter’s “The Idea of You” will close out this year’s South by Southwest Film & TV Festival. The film stars Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine and centers on Solène, a 40-year-old single mom who begins an unexpected romance with the 24-year-old lead singer of August Moon, the hottest boy band on the planet.

Showalter is a familiar face at the Austin-based SXSW, having debuted or screened numerous projects including “Hello My Name Is Doris,” which won the Audience Award in 2015, and “The Big Sick,” which won the Audience Award in 2017. He also presented episodes from his TV series “Search Party,” and had planned to debut his 2020 rom-com “The Lovebirds” at the festival, only to have those plans scuttled by the COVID pandemic.

I love Nick Galitzine from Red, White and Royal Blue, so I'll watch this for him. Anne is cool too, though.

I've heard it apparently strays from the book a lot, so it'll be interesting to see how it turns out.

40 yr olds aren't Cougars. Just Weird people upper 40's and above maybe . mostly 50's and not a thing wrong with them. But Anne's still 41 and a girl I really like is 47 and she look way younger than Anna. That and she's a bit over a year younger than me. Course you know it's always in the movies if you fall for the Pastors Daughter. Still love the area in that state all along it to this day... The name is rather well put.


Imagine Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask lol 4 years apart gross??? oh come on. I know a couple personally who's a bit more than 4 years apart. and 7 kids.... technically 8)
