Default Choosing Video Scaling

Need help!

I tried to look up on how to choose equipment to do its video scaling, and I got lost doing it.

I have 55" TV samsung 8500, Sony BDP-S550 BD player, and Integra DHC 80.1Pre-Pro. I'd like to know how to set them up so I can choose who does the video processing better. Thanks for the input and ideas.
