![]() ![]() Honeymoon in Vegas Blu-ray HONEYMOON IN VEGAS is one of several BDs to be quietly released at Target this week. I've always enjoyed the outright silliness of this movie, so I rushed out to buy it. Only special feature is a theatrical trailer. English 2.0 surround DTS-HD Master Audio (Spanish mono and French mono). The packaging lists this as a single layer 25GB disc with an AVC encode at 32mbps. No slip cover. The PQ is so-so. Inconsistent. Some shots are buzzing with grain, others are much sharper. If I had to compare it to another BD, I'd say it looks a bit like the first PREDATOR disc -- lots of grain, a little dirt, with some occasional softness (especially during titles and opticals.) Some might also find the PQ similar to the look of GHOSTBUSTERS which many people think is too grainy. Personally, I'd rather have the grain than some DNR smear job. Detail is much stronger than the DVD. I detected very little digital manipulation, (no edge halos etc.) This movie has never gotten much love, and this is easily the best I've seen it since it was released in theaters in 1992. For $9.99 I can't really complain. Last edited by Deciazulado; 05-31-2011 at 09:45 PM. |
