Check out Multi-Region Magic - they have a good selection of multi-region blu-ray players, particularly Panasonic.

I think Richer Sounds might also sell some multi region blu players.

I'm very happy with this, but at the bottom of the food chain, if you want to chance your arm, there's always this.

I recommend the Curtis DVD1100UKT. Great little player that can change coding just by using the remote. Can be had for under £100 here in the UK. Can be found in places such as, Currys, Tesco's, PC World and Aldi.

Just about to mention this.

It's a good player and multi-region for BR and DVD.

Any advice?

I've never owned a multi-region blu-ray player but have had 'budget' multi-region DVD players before and I'm a little sceptical. I often had problems such as some region 1 DVDs (and a few region 2 ones) occasionally jumping or pausing at chapter stops or just refusing to play. I will add though that these were earlier players. Has anyone noticed any such problems with the Foehn and Hirsch multi-region blu-ray player? Does it play blu's well from any region and any studio (Disney was always problematic!). Do you select the region or is it automatic? How's the general picture quality and can it receive updated firmware? Just being cautious as I would love to purchase but am very aware that multi-region blu-ray is still in its infancy...

Thanks,

Matt

Do a search online and you will find the answers

I do know that the region fee is a remote hack, type in a code on there and away you go

Firmweare is upgradable

Picture Quality from reviews i have read seems to be good. Bear in mind, you are paying £50 though, so you cant really compare with a £300+ machine

I had a look earlier and from what I read there are a few instances of sync issues and lack of upgrades. Maybe I was reading older posts, perhaps the later players have fixed the snags and updates are being regularly released?

Yeah, it's common sense about the cost possibly (but not always!) reflecting quality. I have separate Region A and Region B PS3s and anything else I buy will be compared to these! High standards!

£50-60 for a multi-region blu player is still a bargain not to be missed...Is that a purchase calling?!
