Default Best Region C LOCKED disc so far?

Hey guys,

So I have always been just a little curious to truly see if I can play Region C discs or not. Sure, all tests point to "yes", but I'm the kind of person who gets OCD-ish over this stuff...so I'm wondering, what is the best (or some of the best) Region C LOCKED disc(s) that are not local Region C clones of Region A or Region B discs (e.g. not China's Monsters, Inc. just because Disney always locks titles) you can list non-English-friendly titles, but I'd greatly prefer English audio and/or subs.

Thanks!

That site relies on user submissions and isn't complete in the least. I myself know of two Region C locked releases: Zoke Culture's Blu-ray of Red Cliff (Part 1) which is Mainland China release, and apparently Tsar, a Russian film that was domestically released in a Region C locked disc.

However, it is true that the vast majority of Blu-rays from China and Russia are region-free, probably due to their weaker economies.

The main point of my post was to find out from other members if there were any other Region C locked discs available at this point.

AFAIK, Tsar is BC, at least. I'll check if it can be played on A player.
The only C-locked release I know is "Stomp Live". And I'm watching for C locked discs because my player is A+B locked (it's a modified version of Sony BDP-S500).

Probably because nobody cares about region locks on their releases.

UPD: "Tsar" is region free. No doubts.

OK, so one then . And it seems if the info on China releases here is correct that even Chinese Disney titles are Region A, C (!) More to the point, the Chinese sites I visited all point out--in bold--where a disc is Region C locked, almost as if Chinese people all own region-free or Region A or B players. I found Red Cliff (but no Part 2?) Jet Li's Fearless, and one other that I can't remember, but nothing that I wanted to import...

I don't own the Blu-ray myself, but there's a Russian Blu-ray of Shutter Island. It's one of those Vanilla releases that has the film only with Russian audio. I believe it is Region C locked.

"Shutter Island" was released by Soyuz (a worse Russian distributor of all times).

Soyuz don't lock their BDs but "Shutter Island" might be an exception. In this case it's hard to say for sure because the real collector would not buy this evil release. Screenshot:

One more C-locked BD is "Chloe" released by "Volga":

It's just another telecine transfer with Russian audio only.

It's better to treat them as if they don't exist.

We're trying to stop this sh*t:

...but no luck so far. Any ideas are welcomed!
