Default Gary Coleman passes at Age 42, RIP

Quote:
Former child star Gary Coleman has been hospitalized in critical condition, a hospital spokesperson tells CNN and "Showbiz Tonight."

Coleman was taken to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo yesterday. The reason for his hospitalization was undisclosed.

Coleman is best known for starring as Arnold Drummond in the late-'70s and early '80s sitcom "Diff'rent Strokes." The NBC show, the story of two inner-city children who are taken in by a wealthy businessman, his daughter and their housekeeper, was built around the young star, who had a natural charm and way with a line.

His frequently uttered “Whatchoo talkin’ ‘bout, Willis?”, directed at his older brother (played by Todd Bridges), became a catchphrase.

However, Coleman has struggled in recent years. Afflicted with the kidney disease nephritis - the reason for his short stature - he's long had health problems. He was hospitalized in February after suffering a seizure on the set of a TV show.

He's also had money problems: He sued his parents over mismanagement of his finances; though he won a $1.3 million settlement in 1993, he had to file for bankruptcy six years later. He's also been in the news for appearances on TV court shows.
I wish him well.

Update:

Gary Coleman Passed away.

RIP
