Anyone a fan of Hidden Beach Records?

Back in November, I went on http://www.hiddenbeach.com and got a few mp3 albums. I bought Mike Phillips' debut jazz album "You've reached Mike Phillips", along with the Hidden Beach Unwrapped Volume 6, which is their series taking hip hop tracks and transforming them into jazz, using LIVE jazz musicians such as Saxophonist Mike Phillips, and Violinist Karen Briggs among others.

The Phillips release had corrupt MP3's though so I contacted them, but never got a response. After three attempts, I went the hell off on their forum. lol. I admit I was a bit immature, and just ripped them and their lack of customer service, etc. Said I'd never buy from them again, and would only buy USED so as to make sure they never got a cent, and then posted it, and soon after forgot about it.

About a week later I get an email from the HEAD OF THE LABEL, one Steve McKeever.

Needless to say I was, to use the lingo of the hip hop kids, SHOOK. lol.

Seriously though, I was surprised. He was real nice and explained how they'd had one or two complaints in the several years they'd been online, but that wasn't an excuse, and they wanted to make it right.

So after a back and forth for awhile, as I explained the situation, and whatnot, I got a package in the mail today from them, that they shipped out YESTERDAY.

If you're into soul music, or jazz, or hip hop, you may be able to appreciate what I just got.

I would have understood if they told me to go eff myself, after how I had responded (albeit after three attempts to get someone's attention), but WOW.

I just opened the package from the UPS guy and just had to relate this story.
