Default Here's a thought. Bring back Christopher Reeve

As Superman!

Look at the technology that's available today, with the movie Avatar we know it's possible and it would be eerily realistic too. Yes moral and ethics come into play here, so why not let a certain precentage of the profit go to research of nerve cell regeneration or whatever it's called?

Of course this is only a hypothetical question and I'd like to hear your opinion on the matter.

Would you want Christopher Reeve back, if a talented actor could convey what Christopher originally did perfectly?

So what is wrong with bringing back Brandon Routh? IMO, he wasn't the problem with Superman Returns.

I agree with you.

The reason is that the franchise is being rebooted from scraps.

OK...It's official! Let's bring him back.

It is obvious when when you think Superman Movie you think of Christopher Reeves, but I thought Routh's portrayal was good enough that you could say yeah he's Superman. Anyways, I've got my fingers crossed that he will at least get a call back for an audition...but really his audition is Superman Returns ...crap, he may need to come in for another audition then.

Don't mix TV with Movies they don't work well. Except with X Files.

Well it would only make sense, Smallville ends next season(or so Welling says) and they wont start filming the new Superman possibly until next summer so it would be perfect for Welling to go from Superman on Smallville to playing Superman in the next movie!!

Not untill there is a computer program written that can reproduce the look and texture of human skin and have it look 100% real . otherwise it will look as bad and fake as that video did and even if you could why would you. If you want to see reeve as superman then watch superman the movie otherwise let him rest in peace.

But that only means incorporating Smallville universe into a movie. Which wouldn't make sense since season 10 will be the last.

X Files one connected 2 seasons together. When the 2nd part came out there were talks about rebooting the show all over. Same could happen to smallville, plus if they make a movie about the show, it won't be called superman it will be called Smallville instead.

That's not necessarily true. Smallville was always just supposed to be Smallville, in a separate entity from the later Superman years. It really wouldn't be that hard to keep Tom Welling as Superman. It would make a LOT more sense than a 28/29 year old Tom Welling supposedly playing somebody that is still only in his 21/22 years. At least I always felt Christopher Reeve's Superman to be in his upper 20s....

Welling is a terrible actor, Smallville is a terrible show.

Routh was decent but there was something just a little gay about his Superman, I'm not anti-gay or anything he just put out that vibe a little. May have more to do with Singer than anything else but still, it's there.

I'd like to see an unknown in the part.

I really liked Brandon Routh (except in Chuck!) but the Superman Returns plot was just stupid. They don't really need a reboot, just carry on from the last one with a really good story, and maybe leave out the son...
