I really like this movie. I'm crossing my fingers that they'll be a new blu release when they put Robin Hood (same director) on blu.

Good question. I thought that for being an early release is great reference material in both AQ & PQ.

Hoping it'll go on sale for $10 again when Robin Hood hits or perhaps some kind of deal to get both for $30.

Back in 2008, it was the best PQ in my collection. Its still in the top 10.

If you don't mind used, you can get it right now from Hastings for $10.07 shipped.

Also, I didn't notice anything wrong with the blu-ray release at all. Not sure what the OP is talking about.

Maybe he's talking about extras, seeing how the BD out now has none.

Maybe. I have to admit, I didn't look for extras -- I usually don't watch them, but I know others do.

I thought the PQ and AQ was great as well. I'm certain it has to do with the extensive extras on the director's cut DVD that were completely absent on the blu release. Doesn't really bother me too much (not enough for a double dip) but I know it was a big issue for some!

Pretty good movie though the armies are vaster larger than real medieval armies and sorry; trebuchets did NOT have the trajectory and velocity of German 88mm cannon.

I waited for a long time because of the lack of special features, but ended up purchasing the blu anyways. It was great on all fronts. Plus, I just added the two special features discs from the four-disc DVD edition to the blu.

I'm all for making trebuchets accurate but taking liberties on army size is fine with me.

When they do release it again on blu I wonder if they'll make the extras HD. That would be heaven.
