Not sure if this is the right place need some help please guys, just bought a LG sn7Cy sounbar and connected it all up but not sure if i am getting Atmos when playing my 4K discs through my Panasonic UB300 player, i have MIB 3 playing but the front just shows up HDMI not atmos any help

It won't be able to decode it but it should be able to bitstream it to the soundbar.

Yes, it doesn't matter what the player does as long as it can output a TrueHD bitstream - the Atmos data is embedded in that for compatible audio equipment to read.
If the connection is via ARC is might not work as not all TVs will be compatible. If it's connected directly - player to soundbar via HDMI (and it's set to bitstream) - then it should be fine. |
