MS will drop the prices of all current 360 models by $50 to clear out inventory ($150 arcade, $250 elite, $350 FFXIII/Splinter cell bundles). The smarter thing to do would be to drop everything by $100 bucks ($100 arcade, $200 elite, and $300 FFXIII/splinter cell bundles). It would clear out inventory much faster but I wouldn't hold my breath on the $100 price drop happening.

I agree that The Elite would drop to at least to $250.00 ( wow how far we have come since it was $500.00). I think they might phase out the Arcade drop the Pro to $200.00. If they don't announce a new console I think they will certainly do a slim and maybe even a bundle Slim/Natal maybe making the Slim $300.00 and the combo Slim/Natal $400.00 just a thought.

$480.00 + tax and yea I forgot about Pro being phased out already maybe Elite goes down to $200.00 then slim $300.00 then slim and Natal $400.00.That would be cool as far as a new console goes maybe I'm wrong

If the motherboard is any indication, all slims would come with a hard drive so a arcade would be a out of the question (they'll most likely drop the arcade name for something else). I don't see the packaged with the 360 being a regular sku (most likely it'll be a limited time package which would be available at the launch of Natal).

I don't think they'll drop the price of any of the current SKUs to make room for the Slim. Retailers might do it, but I wouldn't expect Microsoft to officially do it.
My prediction would be Slim + big internal Hard Drive + Natal for $300 (Yes, I'm stealing that from Michael Pachter.) and Slim + small internal Hard Drive for $200. Also, the internal Hard Drive thing brings up the question of Memory Units. Are these things going to be phased out? Could be. Microsoft is now allowing people to use USB flash drives so I don't see the point in continuing to support MUs. Last edited by Gabriel360; 06-01-2010 at 09:24 PM. |

1. Would the hard drive be a removable one (like the ps3) so you can upgrade it on your own 2. Would it come with built in wi-fi. Granted, this all depends on if a 360 slim happens. |

2. Probably not. I think they'll leave that out so they can save a little on cost. And so they can keep selling their Wi-Fi adapter. I think the Slim will happen. Reducing the cost of producing the console is key to Microsoft extending the life of it. And it's not like faceplates ever caught on or anything, so no one will miss the old design. |

Plus, I don't have a Hard Drive. So if it came with a Hard Drive, that would be cool. |

I just hope they use the laptop hard drives like the ps3 does (not stupid casing that the 360 HD's use) so we can upgrade them to whatever size we want (up to one 1TB since that's the biggest size laptop hard drive are currently being sold).
