Why does youtube not work with PS3

Because of the PS3 app. But you can still access it if you use Google search and then enter Youtube and whatever you're looking for. Then just click on the video and you have full access to Youtube. So sort of like a back door. Plus you need to have the Javascript turned on or else the videos don't work.

I have a youtube option on my xmb.Is that the same as the app? I don't like it because it doesn't have a lot of stuff.

That is the app. The interface is different and it's a bit clunky to operate, but it works and has the same content as Youtube on any other delivery platform.

If you have an android phone you can stream youtube videos on your phone app to your ps3 app and what the videos on your tv. The phone acts as a controller too so you don't have to use that crappy clunky UI of the PS3 app.

I think it might be just the video you are looking at. Like 90% of Youtube videos work for me on the Internet Browser, but I can't look at any videos from Aniplex USA because their videos seem to need an updated Flash Player to play them even when having the Javascript turned on but it's impossible to upgrade Flash on your own. Sony would have to do it themselves.

So try other videos from other users and see if that's what is causing it.

Every time I shut down the YouTube ap on my PS3, it signs me out, and I have to bust out my laptop in order to sign in again. Any way to get around this?
