Need to change my avatar

Well guys - what do I do?

My avatar is a picture of my dog, "Buzz" (as mentioned in my sig).

Sadly, we had to put him to sleep yesterday.
Very sad day for our little family.

Loved the little guy dearly - but I think I'm going to have to change my avatar.

I have nothing but happy thoughts of him, but the avatar makes me sad.

How did you all pic your avatars?

Time to choose something else.

Maybe a favorite hobby?
Even a photo of yourself.

I am very sorry you had to put Buzz to sleep. I hope you have a lot more photos, and plenty of memories.

That's very sad news, I'm sorry to hear that.

Well I chose mine because Olga Kurlenko is my favourite actress and I think she looks stunning, so if I were you I'd choose it based on something you really like, which I know sounds obvious, but it's still correct.

So if you're really into a particular film, hobby or actor/actress as I have done, something you really adore, which I know will be diffiuclt for you because it sounds as though you loved Buzz, but that's how I've chosen mine, and I think that's how you should choose yours. It may also make you feel happier when looking at your avatar, becaue you won't be as upset.

That is what I would recommend.

We got a cat recently - more of my wife's thing.

I have a hobby - I take pictures of sunsets. Not sure they'd be that great so tiny.

I never liked being in pics - or having pics of myself displayed. No real reason, just not my thing.

Thanks for the advice. I'll think about the sunsets perhaps.

Yeah, harder than I thought. I was fine, maybe a little teary eyed - I stayed with him and pet him as they gave him the injections. . . I was sad. It wasn't until the doctor moved his lifeless body to get a better listen for his heart to make sure that he was dead that I started crying like a baby.

Don't think my wife stopped crying the entire day.

I liked having my dog pic cause no one else would have it (and it was goofy). Don't want to do a game - but a good suggestion. But I want to keep it original as possible.

Guess I'll try some of my sunset photographs I took - if those don't come out well than I don't know what to put.

Thanks, I thought about putting my wife on it - but that seems weird - and people might start hitting on me thinking it was of me.

I'm really sorry to hear about your dog. That's very sad news indeed. For my avatar I use a pic of my favorite movie monster.

Very sad to hear CYMBOL. I usaually pick avatars based on my favorite musical artists (Layne Staley, Kurt Cobain, etc...) or nice artistic or scenic pictures.

Just pick something that appeals to your interests that connects to your personality, that's my advice.
