Default Sub Problem need advice

I have a 2 sub set up and one of my subs my 130 pound rotty stepped on the sub cable at the terminal. The sub cable pin broke and half is inside the LFE terminal. The terminal has a slight oval shape in the entrance to the terminal. So my question is what is the best way to get the pin out. I can't reach it with any tools to pull it out. My thoughts are either unscrew the terminal and possibly replace if it is easy enough or try to use glue on the tip of an rca cable and hope for the best to extract it.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

unplug sub
i)try tipping sub over and giving a good shake
ii)smallest self-screw and carefully screw into broken tip and then pull out with looped floss or something (not the best solution)
