Default Del Toro's Next Film At Comic-Con - COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO???

Del Toro has 3 upcoming projects. He has Hellboy 3 and Frankenstein which me might get a little bit at Comic-Con. His next film he will reveal at Comic-Con and it might be Count of Monte Cristo. He said that this film he has been working on for fifteen years.

I personally liked the Jim Cavizel and Guy Pierce Count movie, no need in my mind to remake it. Bring on HB3

It wouldn't really be a remake, just a different adaptation, it's been made so many times I can imagine, tv movies and such.

I'd love to see Del's take!

I dunno, Count of Monte Cristo is a revenge movie but I think Del Toro would make it too dark unless the right producer kept him from overdoing it.

I remember the movie being considered a mess, and Gerard Depardieu in the French miniseries still has the jersey.

I thought the version with Guy Pierce was a shallow take on the story with by-the-numbers acting. So for me,a remake would make alot of sense.
