I just got MacGrubber from Netflix, a title published by Universal, and when I put the movie in the player and loads, after a few seconds it says "Loading a fresh preview from the internet" and it doesn't let me cancel that or anything else for several seconds until it loads the damn video from the internet, and only then I can skip to the main menu.
Message to Universal: it's really aggravating that you waste our time loading previews that look like crap from the internet. If you want us to watch your previews, then put them in the disc. It's bad enough that you and all the other studios make us waste our time every time we put in a disc with that idiotic BD-J authoring mode instead of the far more efficient and fast HDMV. Don't come up with even more ways of wasting our time. Lesson learned: from now on, I'll connect the network cable ONLY to download firmware updates. |
