“Our home video guys are very keen to target PS3 and 360 owners with next-gen movie formats. There are huge marketing and cross-merchandising possibilities.” - Ron Scott, WB

Seems to imply staying neutral. Mr. Scott may not be calling the shots per se, but still.

Certainly p!ssing off millions of PS/3 owners wouldn't be the smartest way to sell anything to them.

Yeah, that's what I am thinking, too... however this will open new possibilities and once more games will hit on the PS3 by the end of this year I am sure sales will go up as well for the console itsself, thus more blu-ray movies will sell.

My twin already purchased his Blu-Ray player and has over 30 Blu-Ray movies and my older brother plans on purchasing one as well. I'll make sure his library grows with a few Blu-Rays under his tree this year! He wants a few games for the PS3 as well so this will balance out perfectly.
